Board/Trivia Game Recommendations

I'm looking for a good party game for me and my buddies to play. Trivia games are best, I doubt stuff like Zombies!!! will fly. 6+ players would be nice. I was thinking Trivial Pursuit or Cranium but I'm sure there are other (better) options out there.

edit: Video game recommendations are also good. We have a PS2, PS3 and 360.

Cranium is a superb party game, it's just great as it can basically accommodate any number of players by making the teams larger/smaller.

I have a thoughtful and infrequently updated blog about games http://whatithinkaboutwhenithinkaboutgames.wordpress.com/

I made a game, it has penguins in it. It's pay what you like on Gumroad.

Currently Ebaying Nothing at all but I might do in the future.

Carcassonne The learning curve is pretty shallow and one play-through will familiarize everyone with the rules. It's a lot of fun and there's a number of expansion packs that add new types of tiles. The most people I've played with is 4 people but with expansion packs I don't think 6+ would be a problem. I doubt 6+ would be a problem even without expansions, the games would just be a little shorter than with 4 people.

Edited the OP. We currently play the 2 Jeopardy games on the SNES but we've started memorizing all the answers.

man, get buzz ps3! great questions, the buzzers themselves are wireless, and the game's always a riot. you can accomodate heaps of people just by sharing turns / having teams, and there are downloadable questions too in case you start overplaying it

as for actual board games, i always found balderdash to be hilarious and infintely replayable, and it actually works better the more people are playing

I'm assuming you also have a PC, considering you're posting on an internet forum.

The You Don't Know Jack! series is great for trivia, but it maxes out at three players at a time, so your milage may vary. (also I think the folks in SE++ are sick of hearing me talk about it)
