I was attempting to post in the G+T chat thread just a few minutes ago when I got this message. First my borwser gave me a page could not be displayed error, then I refreshed and got the No post mode specified message.

I've seen this before. I don't remember what the cause is. It may be if you reply to or quote a post just as it is deleted? Either way, it is a minor annoyance bug, but nothing worth investigating. It only happens under rare circumstances.

It almost looks like it's losing a session variable. I think the querystring gets malformed so, "mode=&t=11111". This happens sometimes when I hit the post rate limit and try and resubmit. When that happens, I just copy the post contents and refresh that page. It usually works.

I get this alot. Whenever you hit refresh when posting your browser unfortunatly does not resend the POST data.
Simple solution - copy paste. This is client side.

In that case, your browser doesn't implement HTTP properly. It should warn you, but resend the POST data if you OK it. Firebird and IE work this way.

Actually, Firebird is the only browser Ive had this problem with. Maybe its a conf setting of mine though...

For what it's worth, I've been running Firebird 0.7 since the day it was released and I have never had the error that you guys described.

Damn. Ok Ill explain how I reproduce it.
    Firebird 0.7

Type up a nice reply. Go out of wireless coverage. Hit submit.
A nice error page pops up explaining life sucks and I need to find a connection.
I go back into range, hit retry.
    No Postmode Specified.
Hit "Back" on the browser to right before I hit submit. Press submit again. (Noting that I never refreshed the page to get a new session)
    No problem post goes through.

Im sure this is reproducable with a wired connection as well, but in my experience Ive only had it happen with wireless, as I like to meander around with my laptop.

OK, you wouldn't expect the "do you want to submit post data" in that situation. But it should go through fine, and always has for me. If the session has died you get the "invaid session" message.

I've never had that problem, but I'm farly sure I've done the same.
