2nd Date Suggestions!

I've seen a couple threads like this here and I have seen some really good suggestions so I thought I would hit you all up for some suggestions on a what to do for a good second date. Our first date we went to a play at the local university, which despite being weird went very well, and I don't think doing that again would be a very good idea, but other than that I'm open to all suggestions. I was thinking of asking if she wanted to get together and watch the NFL conference finals (she is a Steelers fan) but I'm not sure that is a great 'date'.

Thoughts and suggestions?

doing a fun activity is always good, bowling, miniature golf, that kind of thing. something not too demanding but that you can banter about

I'd say go for the Steelers game. Only because your foot is in the door and she is thinking of becoming (or already is) romantically interested in you. Hanging out watching a Steelers game having a few drinks and then either making dinner or going out to dinner sounds like a pretty good idea to me.

This. Set up a nice semi-romantic dinner for her pre-game, have a few drinks, curl up and watch the game together and then profit.

    So long as they win...

This is a good opportunity to introduce her to a couple of your friends in a low-key setting if you're interested. Hit a sportsbar or go to a friend's for a small party or something.

It's only your second date and I don't know how close you were before you began dating or what your relationship is like at the moment, but I do know that for a second date it being just the two of you at home would be a little fast in some cases. I second the idea of making it a small get together. If you know a bar where you guys will be able to watch the game and talk without the crowd drowning you out, that's a good option too.

I made a picnic lunch for the second date with my current girlfriend and it went over very well. She was really impressed and we ate in a nice little picnic area by a stream.

Definitly pick something that lets you both be active. Movies and theater aren't very good opening dates because you're not interacting, just observing things.

I was a bit worried about that as well, but I like the idea of going to a sports bar, there are a couple near both of us.

I would think bowling would be a great second date. Most everyone likes to bowl, you have something to preoccupy yourself, and it's generally pretty affordable... Plus, you could ask another couple with, if you want. Maybe play as teams, and get some friendly competition in?

Small update no one asked for. She is working Sunday so the Steelers game is a no go, so I asked her bowling. Thanks all!

As a die-hard Steelers fan myself, I just want to add that you picked a really awesome girl to start dating. :D Good luck!
