Font Enlargement

My parents just bought a new laptop, but they're both 50+ and their eyes aren't what they used to be and with a resolution of 1440 x 900 they don't have the easiest time reading the font.

I was just wondering if there was a way of enlarging the font in Control Panel or some such, but without sacrificing the resolution since that would just make things larger but blurrier etc.

Thanks!!

The problem with that is that it only works on internet browsers and not the interface of the OS itself.

Under the display properties, click on the Appearance tab. There should be a box for font size (Normal, Large, Extra Large).

you can turn on magnifier under accessories in xp or ease of access in vista.

you can also turn on 'larger fonts' under 'adjust font size' in 'personalize' in vista, or under 'appearance' in xp

They could also look into getting an external monitor for use at home.
