So, there's this Lenovo 3000 N100 Laptop
After a windows update last night, it won't boot. It just displays a bsod, telling me something along the lines of "Bugcheck F4 : Error 0x490"
After running the lenovo diagnostics, that error code gone, but the bluescreen stays
Then I try to log the driver loading, to see that it stops right after crcdisk.sys
what a fucking error
I tried about every tip I could google on that, safe for reinstalling. Anyone got an idea? :P
According to this page it could be the paging file or failing hard drive to blame. (scroll down all the way to see the answers, or maybe you have to click in from google for that to work)
Get a bootable disc with hard drive diagnostics tools on it. You can usually find that from drive manufacturers or there are plenty of linux cds that do that I think.
it seems they only give you the answers if you found it from google, so as to prevent google from de-listing their results for being cockbags about hiding answers
If you happen to have the Greasemonkey extension installed, I wrote this script a while ago which reveals the answers on experts-exchange even without an account.
