Military Options and School - Canada

So I'm currently in my 1st year of University and everything is going well. My grades are high 80's and I've been wondering if there is any way to tie my education into military training or a co-op of sorts.

My current program is international business and when I finish I'll have a bachelor in business.

I enjoy travelling and if I would be able to do that, while getting my degree it would be pretty amazing.

Has anyone done anything like this?
If so:
- How long were you with the military?
- What options did you have in terms of placement or was it from within Canada?
- Did you have options in terms of how you served, like what branches were available?
- If I decided to get an education that was different from what I am currently getting at university would that be acceptable?
- What sort of grades are needed?

If this choice was available and everything looked like it would meet my needs how does payment work, or like are you compensated with your degree by working in the army or do you still get an allowance of sorts?
I would like to start this by next fall if possible not sure how much lead time is needed.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Also people from other countries could also leave any experience that would be great. Just so I can see what I would be getting myself into

EDIT: Also I'm 20 if that makes any difference and living in ontario

You should read up on ROTP with the CF. They pay for your tuition and book fees and you get paid $1200/month while attending school.

    Check out http://www.forces.ca

There you can find most of the information you are after, as well as any other options you may use. As well, during certain hours you can chat online with a recruiter. However, your best bet is to find your local recruitment center and ask there.

edit: Meant to add, if you are going to do this, decide soon or you will end up waiting until next year. The deadline is either coming up or has passed already for this years ROTP intake. I'm currently in the application process, the last phases of it, just finishing up an upgrading course and submitting my marks to them to see if I get in.
