Verizon DSL problem

Hi I'd contact verizon but they don't have anyone in tech support on a sunday the fucks. My Internet keeps sporadically coming on and going off. I have a combination router/modem westel model 327W. The dsl light is on, but the internet goes off and on, like it will work for 45 minutes and then be down for 20. Does it mean my router is going tits up? Or is that a service issue?

I just pinged the server and it sent the message because my net was working when I did it. Their online support has nothing else except that.

When the connection goes down, try to connect to the router. [ go into your browser of choice and enter the IP address of it. Should be on the router or in its paperwork ]

If you can connect, chances are its a connection issue with Verizon.

if you can't, chances are its your router/modem combo dealie going poop

Try calling 1-800-567-6789 --- They should be open. There's a call centre in my city that does Verizon support and is always open.

That was the number I had, said all services were closed. Connected to the router fine when the net was out. So looks like I have to call verizon tomorrow.

Very strange -- It's been years since I worked at that centre, but typically it was open every day/all day.

Well I was able to get through to someone in india (apparently they don't open until past 12?) He said it appeared it was the line and someone would call back to me to schedule a repair.

So now I'll probably have to pay to have their service repaired though I didn't break it, all of this to keep paying them. Fantastic.

Bollocks on that, You don't pay to have them repair shit thats outside of the modem on their end.

Well I don't know, I mean honestly they have one trip to fix this. If they fuck it up or don't fix it I'm going to comcast my cable works fine.
