To help you get the job done, you’ll have double the tricks and the new ability to get off your board to move stuff and create the sickest lines. So the new year is getting started fairly well.

The PS2 continues to survive with the new PS2 game release of Ar tonelico 2: Melody of Metafalica, sequel to the NIS rpg original.

The 360/PS3 systems finally get the sequel to the very much beloved skate-boarding game, as Skate 2 releases this week.

After a long period of nothing coming out, the PSP finally sees a potentially good new RPG, Star Ocean: Second Evolution

If you're a shmup fan, the Wii may finally be getting the long-awaited shmup collection Ultimate Shooting Collection, with 3 Milestone shmups; but we'll see if it actually comes out this week or not since its release is constantly pushed around everywhere.

The 360 also gets a new snowboarding game called Stoked, by Destineer, but I know nothing about it. Also there's a new EA Sims game for Wii called SimAnimals, but I know nothing about it either.

Well damn, it's only January and the GOTY is out this week.

I may be looking forward to skate 2 a hell of a lot.

Also a snowboarding game? Sounds.. interesting. I understand Shaun White wasn't as hot as it should've been, and I could always go play Amped 3 I suppose, but I'll look out for reviews.

    February is full of hits.

Tomorrow might be SSB on Virtual Console though, which would be GOTW for me.

The Maw was released today on XBLA. Aside from the overabundance of brown, it looks like fun. Anyone know anything about it?

It got a 7/10 on Eurogamer, said it's short and not really replayable, but a good game regardless.

Unless they somehow fuck up the port, I can't imagine Star Ocean 2 for PSP being bad. The Playstation original was pretty fun and a solid RPG.
