hmm 20 mins 'till German class. Time for some more coffee and a few fags.

Hopefully after this the "free Palestine" people will have gone to the pub and I can actually get some work done.

Yeah. My DS was a great machine but my Wii is now being used by my parents because they like Wiisports.

    A sad end really.
I was really optimistic about it. I don't think I'm going to bother with another Nintendo console for quite some time. Certainly not in the first year or so of its existence anyway.

nintendo used to be such a great gaming company... when did the games get so stupid and kiddy?

For me, it's not about being "stupid and kiddy" or anything. It's just there isn't enough good games to play and the Wii has become the shovelware/shitware console of this generation. While Nintendo themselves produce excellent games (Mario Galaxy, Brawl and Metroid Prime 3 are good examples) there isn't enough there to keep me interested.

But again, my parents are enjoying it and so long as it's being used I am happy enough to keep it around.

well i dont mean all kiddy games are bad.... but i would welcome some recognition that nintendos original fans are now adults....

i mean, aside from zelda... you named the only good games for the entire system... the rest are all easily forgettable.

Alecthar, I wouldn't be surprised if that movie never gets made.

Sadly, I have to agree. I still haven't played more than an hour of it.

Then again, the only Wii game I've completed is No More Heroes, so maybe it's just the kind of person I am.

There's actually a dildo that you can hook up to your computer so that your partner, on another computer far away, can control some of the things it does while you're using it.

    creepy.

How is it any different from cybering or phone sex with your hubbykins when he's far away?

yeah...we never really did that when me and japan were apart.

Also, dildo hooked up to computer. I'd be slightly worried about power surges D:

Nah, don't fear the USB port. Now, an actual power outlet... hm.

I liked that Resident Evil game they had for the wii that took the form of a arcade shooter. And there is supposed to be a new house of the dead game coming out for the wii. Though I think that's the only game I know about that is coming out. I basically just use my wii for rockband 2.

    I have Umbrella Chronicles.

I don't think it's bad. The problem is I also don't think it's good. It doesn't evoke anything, negative or positive. Which is unfortunately true for most of the Wii games I own. :(

I mean I really, really like the concept of the Wii, but if I'm being honest, I haven't turned it on in such a long time. I haven't sat and USED it in like...a year.

You mean to say that people who aren't 21 year old boys are having fun with the vidja games? TIS THE END OF THE WORLD

Snippy, yes, but the industry is finally mainstream (as in, bigger than movies) and that does mean better toys for those of us who aren't currently playing Wii Bowling in a retirement home. I went to this last week, and its frankly amazing how much better things got when gaming left the basement of the CS department at MIT.
