Hello, I'm pretty ignorant about computers and so I need some help.
My computer is acting very strange, so I think I may have gotten something bad on it. I tried scanning it with Windows Defender (the protection thing that came with Vista), but it said there was nothing wrong. Does anyone know of any free programs I could download that are effective at fixing this sort of thing? Or do I need to go and buy a different antivirus?

Could you try... describing how your computer's acting strange?
Basically I keep getting a ton of pop-ups even when I'm not online, and they don't all go away when I try to close them. Some will go away, but only for an instant and then come back up again.
