    They can't come up with coherent story lines for 25 minute episodes, yet they want to make a movie. Lame.

    The movie's actually being written and directed by a lot of the people back from when the Simpsons was good, though.

    I hate the "Look how retarded goofy this apeman homer is! Haha he'll do anything for a donut and then get flattened like a pancake! OMG!" humor. The original episodes of the show weren't like that. Or when Homer got hurt, it wasn't just to milk the slapstick value.

    Sadly, no. But Groening's directly involved in the script, along with Brooks, Mirkin, Jon Vitti, John Swatwelder, and a few others.

    David Silverman came back to direct.

    Really the two animatics they showed at Comi-Con were great. I think they're on Youtube somewhere.

    I hear that, if you freeze the movie 21:43 in, and zoom in digitally, you can see a shark swimming in the public pool.

    Specifically, the shark that the show jumped about 4 years ago.
