PS3 game no longer recognized

Valkyria Chronicles on my PS3 is no longer recognized. When I put the disc in, the PS3 tries to read it (I can hear the sound of the disc drive), but nothing loads (i.e. the disc icon does not appear). Anyone has ever encountered this problem? Any idea what's causing it?

I've tried my Blu-ray movies and my other games and they all work fine. Only Valkyria Chronicles is not working. And it was working for the past 4 weeks I've been playing it. Did the disc just go bad? Should I bother trying to clean the lens even if the rest of my library plays fine?

For the record, I don't know anyone else with a PS3, so I can't try the game on another system.

    This happened to a buddy of mine with Force Unleashed, he wound up having to send the unit in for repair. Are you still under warranty? If you are I'd recommend just backing up your data and sending it in asap.

    Fortunately, it's still under warranty, so I'll look into sending it in for repair.

    I'm really peeved it's happening to Valkyria Chronicles. Such an awesomely great game.
