Selling my Wii on ebay, need quick advice

So, I've decided to sell my Wii and all the games for it on ebay, I barely play the thing anymore, and I'd like to get some money towards buying a PS3.

I don't really have any experience selling anything on ebay, especially not a console, and one of the main things I was wondering about was how to go about selling the games in order to try and make the most money. I have about 9 games in total, and I'm at a loss for whether to bundle them all in with the console, or try and sell them all seperately. I'm hoping someone with some experience at this could tell me which way is likely to get me the most money.

Cheers guys.

to be honest, to get the most value from your games i'd put them into goozex and trade for ps3 titles.
otherwise, what games do you have?

Sell the games separately as long as they have adequate demad. You pretty much always make more money if you sell items separately. Check the completed listings for all the games first to see which ones will be worth it for you to list separately. Also, start your auction at $.99 and don't set a reserve price. High starting bids and reserves always result in lower maximum bids unless you're selling something obscure which won't see a lot of bidders (a wii will certainly not have this problem).

Goozex isn't an option for me since I'm in the UK. I guess I'll check out the listings for the games I have, and maybe just bundle any that don't have much worth in with the console, and sell the rest on their own.

I have an extra controller to sell too, would that be best to bundle in with the console, or does the same apply as with the games?

Try cex instead of goozex. They have trade prices online.

Same thing with the controller. Look up completed auctions. I'm guessing it'd probably be better to bundle it as I can't imagine used controllers fetch a whole lot.

    Suggestion: Use craiglist instead.

How much are you trying to get for it? My girlfriend wants one. Shoot me a PM if you haven't listed it yet.

Some people use gumtree though. Could be an option.

How much does a wii go for anyway? I'm thinking of selling mine to get a netbook.

Well, if you're in the UK like me, so far the sort of prices I've seen are somewhere around the £130 mark on ebay, if we're talking a stand alone Wii. I've seen them sold second hand in shops for around £140, and their cash worth in said shops goes from £70 to £85, or £85 to £110 part exchange.

No idea how much you'll get for one if you're in the US though.

From my experience, selling things on Ebay can sometimes be difficult if you have a 0 feedback rating. I got mine up to over 10 by buying and selling some small things, then found it easier to sell larger things as people trust you more and thus are more willing to bid.

I know I am always wary to bid on something from someone with a 0 feedback score.

Another option would be to put it on Craiglist.

I actually just sold my Wii on ebay for 300. (+25 for shipping)

I guess I could've sold everything separately, but shipping everything out seemed like kind of a hassle and I basically made back most of what I paid.

It was basically just the wii, 2 remotes and 2 nunchucks and 4 pretty cheap games. Wii Sports, Wii Play, No More Heroes and Resident Evil 4.

    So I think you're looking at 400ish?
