Changing Xbox Live account restrictions

Hey folks. I've noticed an odd problem when I went to download the resident evil 5 demo off of XBL marketplace yesterday.
Long story short, I can't. For some reason or another, my account is restricted from downloading M rated content (such as demos) but as far as I know no such restrictions were in place. I took a look at console/family settings to make sure nothing was wrong and all of that checks out and all content is allowed. I tried poking around xbox.com as well, but I couldn't find anything that didn't direct me to what I already looked at.
So I figured I'd ask you guys if anyone knew a surefire way to confirm if something is blocked or how to change it, because outside of the obvious things I'm not sure what to do.
