Does anyone know a good place to buy downloadable audiobooks? Apple's store doesn't seem to have a lot of the books I'm wanting and I've gone through my collection - I don't know if I'll be able to get any work done tomorrow without a good listen!
Wow, that place has a bunch that I couldn't find elsewhere, thanks!
As for podcasts, any suggestions? My sister sent me a whole bunch a year or so a go, but I found them mostly boring - either because I thought they were truly boring or I just didn't care about the topic.

For podcast they tend to be about specific subjects (i.e. tech news, photography, WoW, general video games, etc) and you really just need to find out what subjects you'd like to listen to. Try searching the iTunes podcast section for a subject and see what comes up.
Thanks for the suggestions. Most of the podcasts my sister sent me were tech related, which I'm not really interested in so that explains that!
I'll check iTunes for some that interest me. As for the old radio stuff, any links would be appreciated. I listened to a whole bunch of old radio plays about 6 months back and had a great time with them.
The Internet Archive has a lot of OTR, but the way they organise things is sorta weird. Freeotrshows has a good selection, downloadable in .mp3 or .m3u form. So does Radiolovers. Best-otr has a lot of shows and music, but their website looks like it was put together by a retarded gorilla.
I really like the CBS Radio Mystery Theater, which ran in the seventies. It's part mystery, part sci-fi, and part horror at times. The Jack Benny show is pretty funny, but you'll occasionally run into some subtle racism, which you might also hear in a few other shows from the forties and fifties on.
Other than that, without knowing what you're into I'd reccomend just downloading an episode of a few different shows and then listening to them and seeing which ones you're interested in hearing more of.

Well I assume since you are on PA you like video games. Try the "Giant Bomb" podcast (http://www.giantbomb.com/) and see if you like it. The hosts are guys that used to be on Gamespot but quit/got fired and formed the Giant Bomb website.
Other than that like I said just go to iTunes and just type in a subject like "Chicago Cubs Baseball" and look through the hits.
As for radio plays, sorry I can't help you. Audible might have some stuff but I don't know as I don't really like that stuff and haven't searched it out.
That wouldn't be the same This American Life that's on NPR would it? If so I'll definitely download a bunch of those!
Thanks Einhander and smokmnky, I'll check out those suggestions.
Not that I like subtle racism (I don't like it at all), but I've been on a reading kick of books from the 50s and 60s lately so I'm aware that sometimes it exists in otherwise excellent stories.

Look into podcasts, though. They're free for the most part :P
@gamefacts - Totally and utterly true gaming facts on the regular!

OTR programs are all public domain, and the side effect of having a low bitrate is the filesizes are small.
I'll see if I can track down some decent websites for you if you want.
