Need to format hard drive

I have a hard drive with an Ubuntu installation that I got from my Dad. I need to format it so that Windows can recognize it. Is there any way to do that from Vista itself, or do I have to get separate software? What software should I use, if that is the case?

    right click on My Computer.

    click "Manage"

    go to the Disk Management section.

    format away.
