Hi. As some of you may know, greatestjournal's servers crashed a while ago and they're going offline. I lost my old archive of my journals there, and would really like to have an archive before it's gone forever...
External programs like ljarchive and ljbook don't work as the server's not letting them connect.
Please does anyone know a way to archive this rather than manually saving every page? (I'm in the process of doing this right now, and trying to use their xml exporter thing, with limited success.) I mean I am sure this method will work and I'll do it if nothing else becomes apparant, but I'd really like to be able to export comments and such too.
Not really up on the whole LiveJournal thing so not quite sure if this is what you're looking for, but I had rather good luck with HTTrack when I needed off-line access to sites.
Well, you could try LJ Migrate (requires a bit of technical knowhow if you're on Windows), but if the other LJ export apps aren't working, I'm not super-confident that LJ Migrate would work either. But I guess you could give it a shot?
