How does one delete threads?

Amusingly enough, I'd like to delete this post. How can I do that? There are no big red Xs to click on. Help me, Penny Arcade!

    I don't think you can. Maybe if you tried deleting your OP? Although that might not work now that I've posted in the thread.

    One doesn't delete threads, unless one is a mod. or god. Although I'm not even sure god can delete threads here.

    The moderators will usually be kind enough to close down unwanted, unneeded, or uncool threads if you add [LOCK] to the title or report the thread with a polite explanation of the circumstances.

    If you click on the original post of the thread, then click edit, then click delete, and confirm, that should delete the thread, provided you haven't gotten any replies. I think, anyway.
