Warcraft wedding invitations

My fiance and I met on WoW, so I'm interested in doing a World of Warcraft theme for all the various invitations associated with our wedding. Ideally, I'd like to do something that plays off of the quest box for the invitations and wedding favors, then something that looks like an item tooltip for the Save the Dates. I'm very open to original art that resembles Warcraft as well. Unfortunately, I can't find anything online other than t-shirts and the invitation people just look at me funny when I ask about it. Does anyone have any suggestions for where I might be able to find such things?

if you want it to look good, hire a graphic designer, or just tell the invitation people to custom design it for you.

Or hell, you could send an E-Mail about it to Blizzard's PR people. They might have their artists draft it up for you just for the press of being able to put it on their website. I don't know how likely it'd be, but you never know unless you ask... and they might see it as a golden PR opportunity, so it may be worth asking.

Be careful of using copyrighted material, though.

There should be plenty of high resolution artwork in the fansite kits which would be fair game. Grabbing random artwork from around the net would be an awful idea anyway, you'll need at least 1600x1200 artwork for standard 4.25" by 5.5" cards.

You could try taking screenshots of stuff in WoW at high resolutions.

These are all great ideas. I'm trying to stay away from anything that's copyrighted for obvious reasons. I'll definitely send Blizzard a message and see what they say (can't believe I didn't think of that originally). I'll also make sure I'm looking at 1600 x 1200 artwork. Thanks so much for the tips! Any recommendations for a good graphic designer that's familiar with Warcraft?

I imagine most graphic designers, when shown images from WoW, could make something work.

You could ask in the Chat or Questions thread in the Artists Corner. At the very least they'll probably know how to go about finding a good graphic designer. edit: And they can probably advise you on how much on an acceptable price for the work as well.

One extremely minor suggestion: I think it would be cool to place a sticker with the "!" quest marker over the seal of each envelope.

And be very, very careful about copyright.

    Something to consider:

Will most of your guests be the age of you and your SO? If not, you might want to think about something more traditional for the parents of the bride, grandparents, etc.
