Quite self explanatory. I've been unemployed for nearly a year, I'm attending some University classes now, and with the economy reducing my chances to get so much as a job at Starbucks or Best Buy, I need some advice on what's the surest way to get a job right now to pay the bills.
In case you haven't heard, I work with approximately six websites covering game reviews and news. Ironically, none of them pay (a couple sites are "planning to" though). Point being, I'm wondering if working on the internet is the best way to make money right now. I've seen plenty of "work from home" ads but also know that 99% of them are bogus. And yet, I was hoping if anyone knew about reputable online places that
are legit.
Anyway, I could use all the advice you can give me, but what I'm looking for most of all are the names of companies, agencies, or places that could help me get work.
And before you mention Work Study, I'm already scheduled to meet someone in my campus tomorrow to see if they can find something for me. But I still want advice to fall back on in case they don't have anything available.

The internet as a money maker is always an iffy situation.
What I get out of that is that they're always hiring. They're also always taking on more work orders, so there is never a shortage of work.
The company I work for in the North San Diego County area is called Davey Tree. There is another company called Asphudal(wrong spelling for sure. I've only see their trucks a couple times), and they do the same work in South San Diego County.
Maybe you should look into something like that.
Just some independent gaming websites. You can see the links for those sites and everything I've written for them on my blog.

If your college hires ticket writers for parking zones, thats a great way to make enemies but the pay is somewhat higher with what you have to put up with.
You need money? Swallow your pride and get a shitty job. You are not entitled to jack.
You will have to wade through some shit from pyramid schemes, but there are several nice jobs available.
Beyond that, if you live in a major city and they're not facing a hiring freeze, they usually have several part time job openings for things like library assistant and other entry level jobs. You'll have heavy competition for them though and if you don't know someone on the inside your chances significantly decrease (hell, I knew several people, was overqualified for the position and personally met with the head of HR and I've been on a waitlist for nearly six months while waiting for them to end the freeze on the position, fortunately I'm currently employed).
Seriously, if you have a car look into it. I'm making mad bank right now, and pizza places are always looking for drivers with clean records. It's not that hard (especially if you have a GPS device), and depending on where you live you can completely live off of your tips.
Obviously you didn't work in the fresh produce department.
We move about 6 ton of fruit a day. Sometimes double that.
...Are you serious? I wasn't even talking to you. I wasn't trying to whip out my e-manliness-dick or anything...just saying some work in supermarkets can be manual labour. Especially in terms of deliveries and storage.
