Not sick. Just had a very short trip to Arizona this weekend ... for some reason sitting still on an airplane for several hours makes me really tired. Plus our flight out of Wisconsin on Friday night got cancelled so we had to stay in a hotel in Milwaukee (for free, at least) and get four hours of sleep, and then fly out at 5:30 the next morning. SUPER FUN TIMES.

I'm going out by Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving, so I'm afraid I can't help you out with the loneliness.
Like I said, I don't mind too much. Really, the big annoyance is five days off in a row without Zelda.
ARGH
Why can't you get the new Zelda? No money or couldn't find one? Are you still in high school?
The Wii pretty much the main part of my Christmas list. There's not much else I want, so getting it now would make Christmas kind of boring. I'd also have to pay for it myself, which obviously is not preferable to having someone else pay for it. Instead, I'm waiting for the GC version in a few weeks.
Edit: Also, I am in college.

Really? I could have sworn you were in high school. Huh.
What is with this kitchen thing? I wasn't around for the start of this.
I've been working on the railroad
All the livelong day
I've been working on the railroad
Just to pass the time away
Can't you hear the whistle blowing
Rise up so early in the morn
Can't you hear the captain shouting
Dinah, blow your horn
Dinah, won't you blow
Dinah, won't you blow
Dinah, won't you blow your horn
Dinah, won't you blow
Dinah, won't you blow
Dinah, won't you blow your horn
Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah
Someone's in the kitchen I know
Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah

This weekend, we caught Maddie fiddling around with a 1000 piece puzzle over at Julie's mom's. We were all, "Hey, wait, don't mess that up!" Except she wasn't messing it up, she was actually working on it. Like, she reached into a giant pile of pieces, picked one out, turned it around for a bit, and then stuck it in place. After a bit, she did this again with a different piece. She was doing better at it than I usually do with those things.
I kinda wanted her to grow up to be smarter than me, but I'd hoped it would take longer than 2 years.

So when do you start with the algebra and French?
Screw French, teach her Latin.

PLaying online video games lowers my opinion of humanity. I should really stop.
I just take the shortcut; people lower my opinion of humanity.
I've just learned to accept that humanity is all hype. It's a lot more endearing when you don't expect anything of it.

Damn it, it's almost lunchtime. I normally like lunch, but today is a lunch/department meeting thing. The food is free, but invariably awful, and the department meeting comes bundled with coma inducing presentations. Fuck that.

So when do you start with the algebra and French?
We've started teaching her arithmetic, since she can count to about 8, now. She's picking it up fairly well.

Make sure that when she grows up she uses her powers for awesome, not evil.

Thats awesome. And.. and I just had a huge ethical debate with myself over what I was going to say next (would taking full advantage of a toddler's fluidity of mind to cram it full of all the knowledge it wants fundamentally change their whole future self?). So..

One can only hope. I was worried she would grow up into Dr. Evil, but with any luck she'll grow up into Darth Vader.

You and my wallet seem to disagree on what I should and shouldn't be doing.
Will you be my new wallet? Wallet: Will you be my new Dyna?
