OK, so I have a problem. I'd really like to mount my monitor on an arm to free up some desk space and to compensate for the monitors' built-in stand that really just isn't good enough in too many ways. The problem is that I use it in two different positions, regular in front of me computer game or application use. As well as to my chairs side for watching movies TV etc. from my bed or a relaxed desk chair position.
I've been looking around but I get the feeling I'm looking in the wrong places and I can't seem to narrow my search into something that would suit me. So I ask you noble fellows if maybe you have a recommendation, or a site/model that you think my fit my needs.
In case you were wondering my desk doesn't really offer a way to mount with no real underside, just straight down from the edge.
Here's a couple pictures to help visualize my problem.
My monitor is 17 pounds by the way, since that is often relevant.

If you find something that's close, I'd be welcome to check it out. Thanks.
You probably want something like this, where it has a fold-able arm that extends somewhere between 30-35". It would allow you to fold the arm for your "secondary" position for movies/etc, and extend out and turn the monitor practically against the arm for the computing/gaming position. There are a lot of companies out there that make arms, so I'm sure there's one that suits your needs perfectly. This one pictured only reaches 24" though.
www.ergoindemand.com has the one pictured above and many other models if you want to browse around. www.lcdarms.com is pretty self-explanatory.

I love their stuff and I have yet to hear a single bad thing about this company. I love my neo-flex base stand with full adjustment and rotation.
