The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Also: Quicktime has the worst programming API ever. Quicktime has shitter developer support than RealPlayer
Developer support would require Apple admitting that someone other than them can program decent software.
Like that's ever going to happen.
A while back I had to make this thing for work that would take several formats of input video and run them through a converter to re-encode them all to FLV with certain settings then upload those finished videos (along with a bunch of metadata) to our media gallery.
It was a simple desktop app and it would bring up an instance of Windows Media Player or RealPlayer or Quicktime or what have you via COM so you can preview your video and choose the start and end points.
Ye gawds quicktime was a bitch. Took like 10 times as much code as the other two, takes way more resources and memory, took literally 2-5 seconds to instantiate (as opposed to a few miliseconds) etc...
Total shit.

Man, commentary is such a weird thing to me. I mean, like, I'd like to have someone explaining shit to me while I watch the movie, but so often, the commentary takes sound priority over the actual movie, so you can't just watch it through the first time with commentary. You have to watch through it, and then watch it again with the commentary, hopefully being able to remember the parts that it's talking over.
Maybe some commentary is better than this (I'm sure there's good commentary out there) but I haven't run into it. Mostly because I don't bother with commentary anymore.
9 looks incredible. If you say otherwise you fail at tastes.
Edit: And just to clarify, I largely despise Tim Burton because he hasn't grown as an artist at all. Creative isn't creative the seventeeth fucking time around, jack ass.

The commentary on the Venture Bros. and Home Movies DVDs were both quite entertaining to listen to.
Good commentary tracks (such as these) are pretty much a good Podcast by the people involved.

The only time I watched commentary was for a couple of firefly episodes.

I had a great night of dancing.
fucking worthless stupid iTunes crashes my machine and demands more "critial updates" per week than vista has in the last 2 years.
So with Spec, that's two. We could probably spam SW chat for signatures at 5g each, if we can't find anyone.
Maybe Senj or Irene could sign on one of their alts?
Like that's ever going to happen.
Make sure to get the director's cut though, or it won't make much sense.
The things Tim Burton makes do nothing for me. I find his style to be quite uncomfortable and needless.
Also, watching the trailer? I've no idea what the fuck the movie is about. It's pinocchio meets...stupid? Or Little Big Planet meets Fievel Goes West?
It is good though. I gotta agree with that.
Lazy cunt.
your mom. thats all i got.

It's apparently Little Big Planet meets stupid.
