There is a substance on my sink, some would call it resinous

I smoke in my bathroom. My roommates in a fit of desperation scraped their pipe so they could smoke the resin. AND COMPRESSED IT ON THE SINK COUNTER. I was not pleased

Now I can't seem to get the shit off. A razorblade is out of the question since it will scrape up my bathroom counter. I've tried some ammonia on it and that didn't work. Is there an easy way to clean up resin of this nature without using a razor?

    Rubbing alcohol.

    Failing that, almond oil.

I heard from a guy that knows this fella, that hot water and dish soap will work, as will rubbing alcohol, acetone, and similar solvents.

If you have access to a razorblade, however, that would be the best way.

Problem solved! Didn't have any of the suggested ingredients but I remembered a trick I used to get tar off the side of my car. Diesel fuel. No I didn't poor fucking diesel all over my counter. I dabbed some lighter fluid on a paper towel and it wiped right off. After a thorough cleanup all was well. Thanks guys8-)
