    norcal my whole life

if I "have an accent" I sure as hell don't know what it is

    Abusing the word "hella"

this was a conscious decision I made in the summer of my senior year of high school

I realized it was terrible, hated it for a year and a half, then decided to love it

also, for a short time, "hyphy"

and I still call people "fool"

I basically just decided to be hella norcal because it's more fun (it mostly only comes out if I've been drinking)

There was a time in my life where I started describing things as "Fucking bomb."

It started out ironically, and then I just couldn't stop.

My friends were forced to give me an intervention.

    Y'all.

About the only Southern accent feature I have is that I can say that correctly, and use it regularly to indicate the second person plural.

(Hey, it's not my fault that "thou" was obsoleted at some point in Early Modern English and "you" came to indicate the singular second person pronoun as well.)

Interesting. The "father-bother" merger is another Americanism (ask Mori, he'd probably say both with the same vowel).

I asked about the last 3 because of this, and it sounds like you don't really say the 'r's in "hard" and "water" but it was kind of there in "park".

My Rs have been softened somewhat by living in Sheffield!

I quite often say grass, etc., with a very short a instead of 'grarse', which I used to say, too

    Also, Mori did a recording:

    http://www.flyingstove.com/rachel/mori.wav

And yeah, he pronounces father-bother the same way. It's really odd because I can't imagine how it'd sound until he says it.
