Anybody played this lately? I played it a long time ago in beta but it's just been released on Steam (FREE for anybody who has a Source game already!)
I spent about two hours last night on a well populated (and pretty well balanced) server, 26+ people dogfighting/boarding/defending whilst our capital ships slugged each other across an asteroid belt.
In my opinion they did not do a very good job of differentiating infantry and ship silhouettes. 9 times out of 10 a bomber will request backup and I won't be able to tell which jaggy block flying around is supposed to be the bomber, and even if I do, the enemy team is usually already swarming on them since they get to see a huge "ATTACK" symbol hovering around it.
Also I really can't tell the difference between most of the rifles.
played a bit of this, I found the boarding parts to be less than fun. The ship combat seemed alright, although it was a bit difficult to figure out whether or not I was doing anything effective
needs work, overall, I guess is what I'm saying.

Ok, I changed my mind
This is awesome
The infantry combat could use some work, and the interior design could as well, but all in all this is really fun.

When you board other ships does it turn into an fps?
I am gonna download the shit out of this when I get home
It's like Rogue Squadron when you're out in space, and then when you're boarding/defending it's kinda like TF2.
I will download this tonight when I get home.
I would liken the infantry combat more to Battlefield, and the space combat is more like Descent.
Pretty good space combat game for an engine that was not designed for sprawling maps and vehicle combat.
OH I'M SORRY I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA
Apparently you also forgot where you are.
This truly is the land of the brave.
it's a reference only people who aren't dumb get
it is awesome, but it is baffling
