Lately I have been listening to a lot of Techno where ever I go. Usually soft core stuff, but hardcore is OK also.
I've become interested in how each Dj/Musical artist portrays his or her expressions and feelings through their music.
I have gone to 4 raves in the past week (I live in Hawaii so there aren't that much clubs and stuff like the mainland) and enjoy Jump-style dancing as well as Melbourne Shuffling.

I'm also looking for new Techno music out there, so if you have any recommendations by song or artist that would be cool.

If Techno isn't your thing, that fine. So yeah, just talk about music.

What do you think SE++?

The beat of the music changes on how the artist feels it should. Its hard to explain
You can search Dj Tiesto on YouTube. Watch the power mix.

Someone needs to keep a tally on the various titles of this thread:

"Ok, so I really like ______."

    First: Techno (good)
    Second: Porno (who doesn't?)
    Third: Pooro (sure)
    Fourth: Yoko Ono (damn her)
    Fifth: Pooro (again...)
    Sixth: Potatoe (best AV/sig ever)
Seventh: Halo (meh, although Wars is pretty good)

Not a fan of what most people refer to as Technoe or Electronica, but there is some amazing Ambient out their with subtle cues from both genres.

Suuri Shamaani for instance. Though I prefer the sound of music like Halo Manash.

    what exactly constitutes electronica anyway

    like, is romantic rights electronica?

that has some blips and bloops

yeah it seems a little random sometimes
like, HMV has portishead as electronica but ratatat as rock/pop so I don't know where the distinction lies

If you think Ambient belongs in Electronica, you have not listened to nearly enough Ambient.

Good Ambient is more then a simple beat and repeated synths.

Like I said, check out anyone on the Aural Hypnox label.
    My favorite is Halo Manash.

I don't know enough about electronica to determine how much of an offshoot drums & bass is as a genre, but Pendulum has some pretty neat tunes (although their newer work seems to delve a bit more into rock).
