iPhone app Development

Has anyone here done any iPhone/iTouch app development? I'm thinking of taking a stab it. I'm pretty good with C++ and decent with C#, but have never touched objective C before. Anyone know how hard it is to pick up? Or if anyone has done any app development for the iPhone, how difficult is it?

Once you figure out the way Interface Builder works and all of the bits and pieces of Cocoa interact, it's not too difficult. I personally recommend this book; it's targeted towards someone who is competent in C++ and the like but has no familiarity with Apple's dev tools or Objective-C.

I was actually just thinking of ordering that book today along with the Learn Objective-C on the Mac book by the same publisher. This makes my decision easier, thanks :)

Unfortunately....I still have to actually purchase a Mac, so that I can use the iPhone SDK. Mini mac's look pretty cheap and should do the trick though.

If you go the used route, make sure you get one with or acquire Leopard as the SDK requires it.

I'll probably just get a new one, Apple Store has the lowest end model at $550

Don't be afraid to go refurbed too to save a buck or two.
Aside from a scratch or so, i've heard good things.
