we gettin' arab money

Just how racist is the song? I think the fact that Busta Rhymes is intent on portraying the culture as on par with his own inflated ego, which is a compliment shows there's no malicious intent- I can't help but see the thing as a friendly shout out.
Yes the remix has actual koran verses and Akon going "konvict!" and I can understand how that is inappropriate and insensitive (and doesn't have the charm of being an identifiable melodic reference as well as funny rapper gibberish that the original gibberish chorus had) but since when has the hip hop geographical metaphor been compassionate, sensitive or even intelligent? Do the Wu Tang Clan conflate all of Chinese culture with Shaw Bros. films or are they just shouting out stuff they saw and liked?

what's interesting about arab money is how much it speaks to western culture more than the Arab one it emulates/parodies. Discovering an oasis golf palace in the desert? A vaguely shady looking prince type welcoming you to his palace/harem? This is all straight from the 19th/early 20th century fascination with the middle east, alternately admiring its art and craft and stories of adventure and harem girls, and deriding it for being too materialistic or ungodly. (Never mind that the focus on materialism was primary an outlet for repressed European societies)
Arab Money is the bastard child old of that.

I found all 3 at one point on a certain website I don't think we're supposed to talk about.

According to imdb there's also a 4th movie, but not an officially cannonized part of the Ilsa storyline.

The first one is the only one worth watching, imo.

The assumption that any of the Ilsa movies might be worth watching is fraught with peril.

RZA is actually fairly versed in Chinese culture. He was invited a few years back to speak at some Chinese Exhibition because of it. As much as Wutang makes saw brothers jokes, RZA knows what's up. If I'm not mistaken he actually keeps in close contact with one of the highest monks on wutang mountain.
