Also Keith that is really weird about Ambush Bug. Even if sales were not good, why would you not release the end of a miniseries. Well, at least we get the Ambush Bug Showcase next month.
do you think after Benes completes covers he pats himself on the back with satisfaction and says "Ahhh, my 30th JLA cover with the team all knocked out. And this is the best one yet."

Godland. Nixon's Pals. The Intimates. Wildcats v.3. Automatic Kafka. Iron Man: Enter the Mandarin.
Though I wouldn't call him phenomenal, he's no scrub either.
Was his JLA run any good? I haven't read muxh JLA past Waid's run (which itself wasn't that good).
Anyway, looking forward to Run and Power Girl. The other FC Aftermaths sound pretty mediocre, especially Escape (which Didio's editting so I'm expecting it to be pretty torture porn-ish, ala Teen Titans).
And yeah, those JLA and JSA covers look horrible. It's kinda funny that DC seems incapable of going straight from one creative team to another, they always have to throw in just enough fill-ins that their audience gets sick of it and drops the book (ala Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Wonder Woman, Flash, Brave and the Bold, Teen Titans, etc).

THE LAST DAYS OF ANIMAL MAN #1
Written by Gerry Conway
Art by Chris Batista & Dave Meikis
Cover by Brian Bolland
Is Buddy Baker losing it all? Everyman hero Buddy Baker has fought hard for our world, and for his family. But by the year 2024, the Earth has seen better days: The heroes are growing tired, the villains have grown nastier and Buddy’s own hometown of San Diego has struggled for years to recover from a cataclysmic typhoon. His children have grown and his marriage has gotten colder... and now, as San Diego faces the most vicious Super-Villain it’s seen in years, his powers are starting to fail him! Without his powers, without his family – who is Buddy Baker? Can he still be a husband? Can he still be a father? Can he still be Animal Man? And more importantly, can he even survive the bloodthirsty plan his arch-rival’s progeny has in store for him?
Comics legend Gerry Conway (TV’s Law and Order) makes his return to DC with this can’t-miss miniseries!

SECRET SIX #9
Written by Gail Simone
Art by Nicola Scott & Doug Hazlewood
Cover by Nicola Scott
Not one, but two members of the Secret Six feel they deserve to wear Batman's cowl, and they return to Gotham City with a semi-delusional Ragdoll determined to be the new Boy Wonder! Unfortunately, everybody in Gotham has other plans!
On sale May 13 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US
I'm tired of shitty futures. Why can't everything ever be completely fine several decades from now, and the only problem they face is that they've made a cake so big that it'll take the heroes of past, present, and future to finish?

That was Joe Kelly, and yeah it was pretty damn good, and enhanced greatly by Doug Mahnke's art. His Justice League Elite was a lot of fun too.

Hah, missed the difference. I thought when you guys were talking about his god awful work, you were referencing his Supergirl run.

I didn't until I saw that it's set in the future.
I think it'll be neat
the future part was the only thing I liked in the whole solicit
you'd think that we weren't building up to some epic storyline
