No, I don't want you to give me your key - I've already bought two!
My roommate and I both have full copies of Diablo II and we would like to play it together.
Problem is, I recently had a virus on my computer and had to wipe the harddrive. We have found one of our copies of the battle chest, but don't know if it's the one already installed on his computer, or if it's the one that was previously installed on my computer.
I would think that, after entering the key into the computer, it would be recorded somewhere on the computer itself. The copy of Adobe Photoshop I have displays the product key on the startup screen, but that doesn't seem to be the case with all programs.
My question is, where on the computer would I find that information? If the key on the disks we found doesn't match the one on his computer (and therefore is mine), at least it might save us ripping apart the whole house trying to find the second copy!
Thanks!
