Awkwardness in bedroom

So there’s a significant height difference between my girlfriend and I. To the tone of a foot and a half. This has led to a fair amount of awkwardness as many of the traditional positions simply do not work. Missionary is for example far less intimate then it would be otherwise, and there’s some for a lack of a better word ‘slipping’ downstairs. 69s are backbreaking to say the least with limited access, standing impossible etc.

The only thing we’ve found that really works is with her on top, but a) We’d like to vary it a bit, b) I’d like to take control every now and again, and c) she often gets tired out before we climax, something that wouldn’t be the case if we could switch positions. Given my prior girlfriends have all been comfortably over six foot (all two of them) this is something I lack experience with dealing with. I man yes we can finish each other off manually, but it's not the same.

Advice/website recommendations? (I’ve tried looking but all I throw up is studies on the differences between the sex’s heights or how tall men are more attractive).

Also, stand with one foot on the floor and one knee on the bed, and have her lay on her side and you hold her legs open.

If you're fairly strong, you might even be able to lift her up onto yourself for some period of time. That can be pretty sexy to certain people.

Also there are a bunch of different versions of "woman on top." She could be facing a different way, lying close to you. Leaned forward, backward.

Then there is the position where you kneel in front of her while she's on her back. It's nice because you both get a good view, you can both reach her clitoris, and the penetration is pretty good. It can be harder to thrust for a long period of time like that, though, but that's why you change positions.

Also, spooning is good, too. You can both lie on your side with her back to you.

So really it's just one or two positions of many that are difficult

You could try sitting on the edge of a bed and have her standing up riding it. this was always easy with my Ex.

You may want to get some bed props, like some foam squares/rectangles. Or go around the house and try to figure out what pieces of furniture are penis-height, for lack of a better term.

A good kama-sutra book would be a good idea. There's quite a few positions/tips for people who have a large height/weight/general body size difference.

Just make sure that you do more then skim through them to see if it's worth buying. A lot of the kama-sutra books you're likely to find are either about the book (as in, the book talks about what's in the book, without discussing any specifics) or will only show like a dozen positions and the pictures won't be a big help in actually performing what it is the section is describing.

Given the height difference I would stop trying to spice it up with positions and use porn/toys/bondage to cover that angle. If you have the money, buy a sling.

Coming from a 6'8" man, I say there is nothing wrong with some form of step latter. Or office chair. Or kitchen sink. Basically, you can always have her sit on something that makes her a little more accessible. I dunno, get creative. The shortest person I've been with was 5'1" and in all honest it was never an issue. I suppose things fell into place (heh).

Props are pretty much out of the question. In so far as being short on funds (student) and having a one bedroom flat, with pretty much no storage space. I could probably clear space on my desk though. But anyway, thanks for the advice guys. This should be more then enough for getting on with.

Also, try sideways missionary: she lies on her side with one leg between yours, you crouch in front of her and hold her other leg against you as you go to town. One of my favorites (though our height difference is only eight inches :P).
