I'm doing some research and trying to find the classic comic covers we all can remember and think of ... or instantly recognizable when someone "pays homage" to them. Mostly, I'm looking for Marvel and DC (mainstream-ish) type covers.

Yeah, that's a given. I was just looking for more. The Flash one is good.
What's this research for?

Trying to find covers I can't think of but are in my head. And I'm trying to compare with what I think are classic as to what other people feel are classic. It's interesting so far that it's mainly DC comics. I've also been more exposed to Marvel than DC, so what I consider famous or iconic may not be so true.
re: DC covers . Is it because they've been around longer? (the comics) The characters? DC does seem to have more "icon" type characters. Instantly recognizable logos/symbols.
