The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
It's currently Monday, 9:53 PM, on February 16th. I have an online assignment due on "2009-Feb-17 12:00 AM." These assignments are generally due on Tuesday nights, but this one kind of looks like it's due tonight (Monday), at midnight. I never learned what 12 AM or 12 PM means, so I'm a little confused here.
When is this assignment due? In 2 hours, 14 hours, or 26 hours?
Generally, what is the rule for 12 AM vs 12 PM vs 0 AM vs 0 PM?

However if it's usually due Tuesday nights then it's probably just an error on behalf of the person posting the due date. Or if not an error, an attempt to accommodate the fact that people get confused as to which day midnight falls on.
While I would suggest you turn it in by midnight tonight to be safe, I had a professor who listed the due date as you have but actually meant it was due by 11:59 PM on 1/17.

Your assignment is due in 2 hours and some change.
