Jim Jarmusch, _I_ still love you.

the rule goes as follows

if you like awesome movies, then you like Jim Jarmusch's movies

it's a pretty simple rule

and so
His latest project is called The Limits of Control and is about "the story of a mysterious loner, a stranger in the process of completing a criminal job." We haven't even heard of this until now, but it sounds like it could be great, and it's exciting to see Jarmusch again, since he last directed Broken Flowers in 2005. Thanks to the Spanish site eCartelera, we've got a fresh new batch of photos that everyone should take a look at. The Limits of Control stars Isaach De Bankolé (seen at the top), Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, John Hurt, Gael García Bernal, and Paz de la Huerta. The photo of the white haired beauty directly below this is apparently Tilda Swinton. Additionally, there are some shots of Bill Murray, John Hurt, and Gael García Bernal scattered throughout this arrangement.

11.jpg12.jpg

The reason why all of these photos look so gorgeous is because the cinematographer on The Limits of Control is none other than Christopher Doyle, the same guy behind all of Wong Kar Wai's beautiful films. It's very likely that this will be premiering at the Cannes Film Festival later this year. Focus Features already has the distribution rights in the US and they've tentatively scheduled it for a late May theatrical debut.

day by night is his best movie but only because it is short stories and the movie synopsis doesnt get your hopes up about any of it having a plot or anything happening during the movie

    gansgters all talkin like

    'hi. do you have it.'
    'no i dont.'
'oh. i told you to bring it. bring it tomorrow. if you dont bring it. we will kill you.'
'okay. i will bring it tomorrow.'

and then youll be wondering whats gonna happen because the entire movie up until then was about how he couldnt find the guy he was supposed to get this thing off even after asking somebody and wandering around an empty town for about a week and how is he gonna get it by tomorrow but it doesnt matter because the movie just ended

man it must suck for tilda swenton to be cast as the woman described as "plain as paint" or whatever in benjamin button.

Ok we need an ugly woman lead for this but she also has to be a good actor

Ok I have tilda on speed dial

I've always wanted to see Down By Law, since I hear it's his best. It also got the Criterion treatment.

    Ghost Dog is wonderful.
