Aside from discussion of cars and how to maintain them, they have a logic puzzle halfway through the show.
They MC'd this beerfest up in Boston one year and my friend went all excited to see them, but apparently they really suck outside of the radio. And they also both look like college professors from the 70's.

Yes exactly, my mistake. I am subscribed to their pod cast and listen every week... it gets beaten into my head. I think it's the laughter that keeps me coming back. It's contagious.

It's a great show. I am about as mechanically inclined as a coma patient but they're funny guys and explain things in an interesting, relatable way. Haps might find it all rather elementary since he gets a +2 racial bonus to cars.

The guys are actually some of the most knowledgeable mechanics around. It's not pedestrian car care at all, they just are very good with explaining things simply. I've only heard them stumped once.
For a time I believed that the events of Gilmore Girls took place in an alternate universe where Hitler won WW2.
Gilmore Girls is pretty awesome
What made you think it was Hitlerrific?
I'm not entirely sure. Clearly things didn't go Hitler's way for too long, otherwise there wouldn't be as many minorities. But somehow he influenced the world so that everyone spoke rapidly.
Hnuh, I'd never thought of that.
Now it all makes sense.

My zombie survival life simulator They Don't Sleep is out now on Steam if you want to check it out.
So, that new thread reminded me I’ve never really done the whole unrequited* crush thing. Or at least I don’t remember every doing it. Is that weird? It seems to me like it would be, because it’s apparently so damn prevalent and normal, or is this just television and anecdotes screwing with me head?
*unrequited being ones people never dared to follow up, or knew would not be returned.

I'm glad I have a good solid decade and a half between me and the last one of these I laboured under. It's taken on a sort of nostalgic glow by now, and I can remember the good parts of a close friendship without the horrific teenage emo gubbins I indulged in getting in the way, but by Christ at the time it was appalling teenage poetry writ large and I shudder to think of it now.
I doubt I will ever want to think about my teenage emo bullshit again (although it was mostly before emo became a term). I still do, from time to time, but I try to avoid it as a rule.

Like many people, I would pay cash money to be able to go back in time and slap my teenage self silly.

My teenage years weren't actually that horrible. College, on the other hand....well, a slapping would be insufficient.

[chat] is moving at insufficient speed. It's like you want me to go to bed.
Google should release Chrome 2: The Version Where We Polish It soon.
Yeah, I took a sort of involuntary vacation from the whole tech rat race last year, but I'm vaguely surprised that Chrome hasn't generated more heat. Is it goofy-acting? I guess that would explain it.

No it's actually wonderful but there are just a few really stupid things that can be annoying.

Paul Weller was like a pop Mozart back in the day. Just churning out glorious song after glorious song.
Seriously. This album (a priceless treasure: a double-length cassette compilation of singles, impossible to find anywhere) was the soundtrack to my high school life. Everyone else was busy with their Soundgarden or their Marilyn Manson or whatever...I was doing this.

It's fast and has a small footprint, but does a lot of weird things. For example, right now I can't get the forum's tools menu to popup. And it gets cranky when I try to highlight things.

What the hell time is it over there anyway? Round about now is when some US early birds start saying 'good morning!' in that unhealthily chipper way.
Here in the Central time zone, it is 5:45 am. I am unemployed however so your puny human linear time has no meaning.
All events are happening at once. I am asleep. I am taking a 40-minute shower. I am replaying Baldur's Gate.
^5!
I probably won't be going to bed until about noon today. My schedule is completely fucked.
I took a nap for about four hours today from 6-9. This is without sleeping the previous day. So I think i'm going to nap again from about 7-8:30/9 or perhaps longer if I call this place and can't get an appointment. T I have class at noon. But i've never been to that class so I could very well end up skipping it again.

I think that's the NPR dress code. If you're not rocking the la boheme ironic hipster look, it is permitted to dress like you host robot fights.

Sexy!
And talk about cars makes me... squirrelly.
Hnuh, I'd never thought of that.

But tomorrow. For now I must sleep. Night.

Edit: Good night, Gim.
Wow, that's awesome, Elki!
I like to think your love poetry would look like this:
Well, that's certianly interesting.

At first I couldn't recognize her with the blond wig.
also I think the unrequited crush thread just reached critical mass.

I know right?
