Has anyone ever ordered something in Canada through Woot? It keeps saying my postal code is wrong
Bad news
No, we do not ship outside of the continental United States at this time. We do not ship to Canada, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, nor to Maggie's Nipples, Wyoming or Assinippi, Massachusetts at this time.
That is very odd. Shirt.woot definitely ships to canada; I've ordered from them before. With the extra shipping costs and exchange value the shirt was certainly no longer cheap, but it was worth it.

Maybe they just do it for simplicity's sake? They have a flat rate for shipping now matter what you are ordering off woot. For shirts that isn't a problem, but for larger items the international costs could hurt them. Of course they could just add extra to the shipping if it's going to Canada to cover their costs.

Someone, anyone, is there any sort of forewarning to this? And where can I sign up for it?

You can subscribe to Woot.com's twitter, and it tells you what each deal of the day is, and when a woot-off goes down it tells you to check out a special Wootoff twitter as well.

The only other forewarning I can think of is if you sign up for their email list, they only seem to send out emails a few days before a woot-off (and drop obvious hints in the email that there will be one soon). But they don't do it before every woot-off -- I didn't get an email this time around, for example.
Eh, someone bumps this one and then I wake up and realize there's a Woot-Off and change the date in the thread title. It's not a perfect system, but it gets the job done.
It was before the watches and there must have been around a half a dozen of them, they sold out before I could figure out if I drink enough wine to make it worthwhile.

I would spend a lot more on the small items if they had an option to bundle all your wootoff items together in one box and save on shipping.
That's a pretty good idea. The logistics of it are probably too complex for an operation like woot as you still need to charge people right away. Therefore they would have to tally up your orders and give you a credit. Though they might still have to ship it to you in separate boxes making it even more complicated. $5 isn't much anyway.

I missed my chance since I went to go poop.
GPS unit with bejeweled, can't foresee that causing any accidents.

Thanks.
Why do companies do this? I'm gonna start my own woot.

(I like watching to see what they offer. Have fun shoppers.)
I think I might want to get this corkscrew.
Don't think I got it.
I missed the BoC? Damn this job and responsibilities.
Oh well, I got one a couple of months ago.
