So I know that Woot-offs generally mean Roombas. Anyone have one and do you like it? I need a new vacuum and the potential to push a button and go to bed and wake up to a clean floor is tempting me towards getting one. I see Roomba has a $130 no-special-stuff one on the website, which is fine with me.

I got the Roomba 550. My apartment is about 800 sq ft and lots of carpet. It's been really awesome so far. I schedule mine to clean at 10:00AM. I come home and empty out the dust bin and there is always an amazing amount of dirt/carpet fiber everyday. You will still need a vacuum for tight spots that the roomba can't get to. On the other hand, the roomba can go underneath my bed and other furniture that I can't go under.
Sigh, I got in on this woot off way too late! I'll have to set up twitter notifications again so I dont miss a chance at a Roomba and or something awesome!
Unless I totally spaced for a day I think this Woot-off just started. The former is totally possible, though.
I think that might be the case, the woot-off lights have stopped spinning(though oddly they are still there) and the item hasn't rotated in awhile even though its sold out.
That or the shortest woot-off ever.
*edit: Nope, still going. Lights are still not spinning though and its taking awhile to update. Their servers must be getting pounded.
Oh god, refurbished X-box360 HD-DVD player. I hope they don't have a lot of those(like say... more than 10) or its going to be sitting there all night.

You'll have 3 more chances at a Roomba before it ends. And about a jillion chances at a 2-4GB mp3 player.

I dont have any carpet in my house - all tile. Will a roomba still be useful?
How durable are they? Its not gonna crap out on me in a year is it?

Last time i missed out on the Bag of Crap due to not registering. This time around I am ready. Damn being at work, it's probably going to happen while I'm at a meeting.
Works perfectly fine in my kitchen (hardwood floor). The biggest complaint from Roomba owners is the battery life after a year or so. This can be replaced, but I just bought mine at Costco since it has a lifetime warranty.
So what exactly is IN this elusive bag-o-crap that I am hearing so much about? Been rabidly following the woot-off since yesterday in the hopes of spotting a few extra eye-fi SD cards
The name is self-explanatory. On occasion you might get something worth more than the price (like someone getting a TV,) but its incredibly rare. Its basically a way for Woot to unload the stuff that doesn't sell.
They do seem to always put it items worth more than three dollars. Of course there are lots of items that cost more than three dollars that you don't want.
I've still got two power cables that split one outlet to two from my last BOC. It was worth it overall.

haha, really? really?
The sale text is basically "well, this computer sucks. Buy it I guess?"
3Cell battery turned me off though. That, and the N270 proc.

I paid $250 and don't regret it.

I believe they make models for hard floors.
There's a Scooba for that!
