What to do before the date starts. [SOLVED LOCK PLZ]

I have a date on Saturday. My lady friend gets in an hour before our reservation. We don't have cars and my city is a little light on the stuff to do. Window shopping would be an option if warmer.

I was thinking of taking her back to my place for a couple glasses of wine before dinner but that seems like it might be a bit odd but a good way to make the evening seem easier.

Any ideas of what to do for an hour. I'll consider any suggestions.

I'd think a pub/bar/cafe for a glass of wine might be better than going to your place. Otherwise if there's any sort of museum/gallery/exhibition/zoo might be suitable as well.

The two above sound good, if she's never been in your area then maybe just take a walk around town for a bit so she can get a good look. Chat it up and it'll be time for dinner before you know it. I'd go for the wine at your place after dinner OR possibly have some dessert ready when you guys get back. Chocolate fondu or make your own ice cream sunday bar perhaps?

Sounds good I think I know just the place too, just seems weird the whole point of our night is to drink it away and I wasnt even thinking of going to multiple places to do so.

See bars here don't get that fancy (Countryside Japan) mainly every place is a bit more "roadhouse" without all the fighting, and cursing, and well loud people in general. The place we are going is probably one of the more fancy establishments in my area, There is a little shopping mall I think we are gonna walk around a bit, then there is a little "shot bar" and they are called that is really small but has a great selections of all sorts of alcohol, probably go there for a warm up then off to dinner.

The chief reason for drinking is the desire to behave in a certain way, and to be able to blame it on alcohol.

For some reason in Japan this means "act normal" Compared to my college experience I have never met anyone that wants to drink as much as the people I know in Japan (not saying all people in Japan just the ones where I am from)
