SO question. I recently purchased an iLife 09 family pack so that I could split the costs 3 ways with some other people.
this may be a stupid question but do they need the physical disk or is there a registration code that could license it, similar to how microsoft does their trials?
Office for Mac 08 had 3 distinct registration codes but i don't see anything like that on the packaging
well i wish i knew that before i bought it
thanks. i bought the family pack based off my experience with the mac office. good to know for future purchases
If you are going to pursue the illegal option, you might as well just by the individual user pack and save some money.
Well... Shades of gray. I mean, at least Apple got more compensation this way, right? It's better than "sharing" a single-user license box, and of course way better than just bumming the disc off a friend.

Legally, you can only use it on five Macs used IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD.

I'm not sure if Apple cracks down on this, but staying within the legal boundaries is always a good idea.
