iTunes Authorization Problem

Hi there! So, I reformatted a while back and now everytime I try to update my iPod, it tells me I need to authorize it to play the iTunes specific songs. I do, and then it comes up instantly again. I do, but it tells me it's already authorized. Then it tries to make me do it again, and I can't get it to put the iTunes songs on there.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, and I've tried de-authorizing before I try to update. No luck.
Long story short: iTunes thinks it's not authorized when it is.
