yea so my parents are making me cook the ham we have to bring over to my aunts house and its about 16 lbs anyone know how i would go about this like what temp to bake it at and how long?
ham well no... lol its one of those pre cooked hams but it didnt say how long to put it in there for so im just gonna take a wild stab at it and say at elsat 3 hours
I normally cook it until the internal temperature is about 160 degrees, but I don't know how long that takes. I have a meat thermometer, you see. I just cook it at 350 for an hour or two, check the temperature, then check it every half hour or so until it hits 160 in the core.
I can't remember if I keep it covered or only covered for the first part or completely uncovered.
I do remember putting about a half or three quarter inch of water in the bottom of the roaster.
Maybe you should ask her for advice, instead of random intarwebnerds.
Unless those intarwebnerds are food nerds, like this lady. She's saying 8-10 minutes per pound to heat a fully precooked ham, so around two and a half hours for a 16 lb. ham.

Hasn't your mother ever taught you how to do this? Maybe you should ask her for advice, instead of random intarwebnerds.
