TORONTO — Singer-guitarist Steven Page has left the Barenaked Ladies.


The band's Web site said Wednesday that Page will pursue solo projects, including theatrical opportunities.

You can't let him leave. His voice is delightful.

    War On Drugs is a song that's lost all meaning ever since he was busted last year for cocaine possession.

    Steve's girlfriend, the one that presumably got him into drugs, is a big Harvey Danger fan. She's part of the reason they invited Harvey Danger onto their boat cruise thing. Sean and Steve meet and really like each other because they are practically the same person and have all of the same issues. The next year Harvey Danger isn't invited to the cruise because the rest of the band didn't like Sean (so says Sean) and shortly thereafter, Steve leaves the band.
