Where is my Captain Planet reboot?

futilityfutility Registered User, ClubPA regular
edited March 2009 in Social Entropy++
Many of the shows of my childhood have been rebooted.
Gi-joe took steriods, transformers moved to korea or japan or something, looney toons + tom & jerry + mickey mouse became babies in space from the future, and he-man came out of the closet.

Yet, out of all these cartoons from my childhood, there was one that was actually good. And by good I mean it taught me valuable lessons with cheesey 80's hair do's.

Yes Captain Planet!

But in today's environmentally troubled time... isn't it time we got back this planet's hero... in CG

    But how?

I mean, he was barely even a character; he had no backstory or origin or explanation

    he was just kinda there

and ain't no way it's gonna be serious if you keep the power of heart

Transformers actually started out as a Japanese toy line that the American company Hasbro created their own television show around

so it's kind of half and half

I've wondered why Adult Swim doesn't have Duckman. Seems like a good fit. Also, it may have been a while since I've seen Duckman, but I'm pretty sure it was better than the god damn PJs.
