So I bought some unflavored Yogurt the other day, and it kind of tasted horrifying, so I'm going to head out and get some vanilla extract or something to mix it with. It's been like a week or two though, and I'm wondering if, since it's been sitting in the fridge in an opened (but covered) container for the past 1-2 weeks, it has gone bad, or perhaps gained sentience.
Should I toss it, or is Yogurt immune to going bad since it's like a bacteria colony or something?
No, you do not want to eat yogurt that has gone bad.

Would you drink milk that's two weeks past the expiry date?

I once ate yogurt that was a little past the expiration date. It tasted ok, but it made my tongue and mouth feel... spicy? Tingly? Wouldn't recommend it.
I'm sure yours was bad, but just as a side note, unflavored yogurt can be pretty scary when you're used to everything tasting sugary.
You will get used to it, try it fresh so you know what you're in for. Fresh fruit added or some granola (preferably with no sugar since thats the whole point) can be really tasty.

I opened it to see what it looked like and a bit of it jumped out and tried to attack me. Or, I just opened the lid in a weird way.
But yeah, tossed it. Thanks for saving me from a stomach implosion.
