The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 11.11.11 Here, there be dragons!
Discluding role playing reasons, you want to be an Altmer for the magic bonus. You want either the Apprentice sign or the Atronoch sign for the magic bonus. The inability to regain magic from sleeping is a problem, but you can always join the temple or some other place and use the altars for recharging your magicka. There is also alchemy.
As for whether you are a spellsword or pure mage, I recommend having one weapon skill because you will be running out of magic frequently when fighting if you don't.
You can always join both the Guild of Mages and the Telvanni. You should always join the guild even for just the free crap early on.
I got most of the "random murder" out of my system with my thief-who-was-more-like-an-assassin. I want to give some of the Tamriel Rebuilt quests a shot, and something Telvanni-ish seems more up my alley, since everything in TR thus far is Telvannis.
I'm leaning toward a Dunmer Telvanni spellsword who uses medium armor, since I recently fell in love with the Netch Adamantium armor, and it seems like fitting armor for the character I have in mind.
I just wish the Dunmer heads added by Better Heads weren't so... green. They clash so drastically with the grey Better Bodies textures.

Any mods to get rid of the fucktarded fatigue system in combat? Walking is so damn slow that I want to run all the time, but then my shit runs out and everything misses in combat.
I always end up making a ring that restores 3 fatigue and then give it to myself with the additem code. By the time I end up needing the ring slot for something else fatigue always turns out to be much less of an issue. It's very easy to do even if you haven't used the construction set before.

It's the first one I found. I poked around in the Construction Set and found the global gameplay setting that affects how much running drains your Fatigue, but couldn't figure out how to actually alter it.
Edit: Apparently it's one of the only mods of its kind around, if not the only one. Apparently there are a ton of Elder Scrolls purists who rail on any mod like that that's released. Some have even gone so far as to put Fatigue drain from running back in to Oblivion. Such strange people.

Is there a mod to remove (or greatly lessen the occurrence of) getting staggered by enemies in Oblivion? I'm level 32 or something, decked out in full Crusader gear, and kill most things in a few swings of my sword.
I'm the legendary Knight of the Nine. I own the Fighter's Guild. I destroyed the Arena. I saved the entire fucking world from the Daedric Prince of Destruction. I'm a literal God of a Daedric Realm. I should not be getting staggered over and over again by a fucking goblin.
Say, didn't the Mudcrab merchant give the same value that the item is actually worth as opposed to increasing/decreasing it according to how much he likes you? I just found him and the fucker s offering me 2000 less than what the value is.

Odd. According to the wiki,
Somewhat similar to Creeper, the Talking Mudcrab Merchant is a thirsty Mudcrab turned merchant. However, the Mudcrab Merchant is also quite difficult to find since it doesn't live anywhere near civilization, and it is labeled like a regular Mudcrab, but it does have a healthy supply of gold (10,000). See the online map (map). He is also one of the only merchants in the game who buys items at full price, but he only buys weapons and armor.

Whats the item's condition?
Oh. I had no idea that affected the price.
Couscous, that's actually the first place I checked!
Professional opinion time, guys. I've beaten the main quest in Oblivion, as well as the Arena and some random quests. Which guild do I grace with my presence next?
What kind of character are you playing? I enjoyed all of the guild questlines quite a bit, though if I had to pick one I would say that the Dark Brother Hood questline was my favorite. Though I would save that and the thief's guild questline for a sneaky character if your not playing one, to optimize fun.
I'm running a scout. Proficiency in light armor and blade. I'm not the greatest tactician, so I usually just chop at dudes with whatever blade. Suffice to say, my sneak is shit.

I liked the DB questline too, but the way you say it makes it sound like a place Black people live.

If the president had any real power, he'd be able to live wherever the fuck he wanted.

Yes! It is finally done! Almost more than 200 .esp and .bsa's in my data folder. FCOM with SI+Knights quests and improved landscapes and cities and optimization and Deadly Reflex and everything I could find. And it runs!
Well, better landscapes didn't work with AEVWD, so I still have draw distance issues, but I don't care!

When people start talking about modding their games with awesome stuff sometimes I feel like an idiot for buying Oblivion on the Xbox 360.

Where do you get grand ones? I only have the winged twiglight one from the mages guild in balmora.
The Enchanter on the second floor of the Craftsmen's Hall in Mournhold sells an infinite supply of Grand Soul Gems. I specifically want lower-end ones, though, because my Spellsword's still a low level person, and I want to use some cheaper ones for lower level souls. The enchanter in Mournhold sells all the soul gems, but you'd think more NPCs around Vvardenfell would sell infinite quantities of at least some of the Common ones.

It's true it's not essential or even really helpful to the core game, but damn, it's so satisfying.
...Could've, y'know, mentioned that that's a Fallout 3 spoiler, and not an Elder Scrolls one.
Send a pm my way if you're interested.

Yep. You need certain powerful souls to do them. Trapped Golden Saints give you that option I think. I don't remember what else does.

It was 15 total for the game and shivering isles expansion a couple weeks ago. But still, 25 bucks is an awesome price.
