A year or so ago I found a website, I think it started with an "M". Anyways, you selected a song from your computer, chopped which section you want, and the site emailed a text to your phone with the file attached. I would retrieve the file, and it worked perfectly. Now, I know there are tons of sites that do almost the same thing. But all of these sites require me to open my phone's browser and download the song, which I do not wish to do. Anyone know of any sites like the original one I used? Thanks.
http://midi.mathewvp.com/ works for midi files. If you want MP3s, http://www.makeownringtone.com/ is one of the ones Lifehacker has mentioned before, but my phone is midi only, so I don't know much about it. If you search Lifehacker.com for "ringtones" there are a few sites like that.
Works wonders, though you'll need a USB cable to connect your phone to your PC I think.
If your phone is bluetooth enabled, you can sometimes connect that way as well, though they don't reccomend it for ringtones as it is very, very slow.
The USB cord for my phone way literally $3 on ebay, and I know my phone company was giving them away for free with my phone for a while, too.
