So I need to get a haircut, and I'm not quite sure how to get it done. I'm looking for something with minimal fuss (I just towel dry my hair and let it settle every day).
Here's what I'm working with
I don't want anything crazy, just something different.
Also I have somewhat of a receding hairline, if that makes any difference.
balance the scruffiness of the stubble (I go a few days without shaving too ) and receding hairline with a nice short hair style. Men look much better with a short hairstyle when the hairline is receding.
Something between a full on crew cut and a caesar cut.
You can google both to see some examples.
Both are low maintenance.
Either can work with sideburns, though my initial thought is to lose them.
As was said, go short. Time to chop all that off, good sir. It's your choice how you style it from there, but any short style should be minimal fuss.
Like so?
Something simple and traditional looks to be your best bet. The more stylish and designer cuts can be more maintenance and really only fit the look if you are dressed to match.
Expanding on this, keep it clean. You're best bet is to shave the sideburns and facial hair. With a shorter cut and a clean face, you're going to be sharp.
Noooooo not the sideburns! I've had you for so long! I supposethey could go though. The rest of the facial hair is just me playing around the past few days, I'm not particularly attached.

i'd vote against the sideburns too. They really eliminate a lot of descent hairstyles.
I know we geeks love having sideburns.. But generally most people don't like watching them..
Ditch the sidies or at least shape them a little. I'd reckon a cut similar to (note he has small sidies too but they're shaped to go with the cut/his face shape):
Also I doubt you want to hear the this but the tash/beard really isn't working too well- it looks a bit straggly/patchy right now.
looking at your skin you might want to look into exfoliating with something like St Ives Apricot scrub, I converted my boyfriend to it a little while ago.
I know this has detoured a bit into general grooming but I hope it was helpful in some sense.
Yeah, that transitory phase between "clean-shaven" and "proper facial hair" is a bad look in the photos. It makes you look like a highschooler who just started to sprout fuzz. :P
