as far as the music goes, I actually can't decide how to feel about it
at the time it was absurd and kinda funny
but at the same time if they had used a grand orchestra and an original score by Johnny Greenwood or who the fuck ever I would probably not be able to remember a single song
I'm not saying it's good because it was memorable but it was sort of endearing in its own quirky kinda way
You better not be dissing the There Will Be Blood soundtrack, you bastard.
I just talked to my friend who is in the camp of people who never read the book but liked it, however found the middle sections to be boring and loaded with fan service.
I can understand this.
But I wish I could see it through the eyes of someone who got absolutely no enjoyment from it whatsoever. It's been a while since Spiderman 3 and I wish to relive that experience of complete anger all over again.
Spiderman 3 was however the best movie going time I ever had, because the entire audience turned on it about 30 minutes in and it became this giant MST3K experience. Good times!
The Spirit was pretty godawful, but I couldn't really hate it. It was like a retarded kid who ruined all your legos. On one hand you want to slap him, but on the other it's just like, "Aww..." you know?

Guys, Spiderman is the accountant. Like Melvin Spiderman CPA
Spider-Man is the superhero. Like webs and spidey sense.
Sadly, I did not see it opening night. My friends texted me while I was at work on premiere night with nothing but praise, like "best of the trilogy!" and "Raimi totally pulled off three villains," etc.
I saw it in the theaters the next day and I was just very...confused. They liked this? This pile of dogshit?
I found out afterwards that they did not like it, but if they had told me otherwise I wouldn't have seen it, and they wanted me to suffer as they had.

Furthermore, in the youtube thread someone posted the intro credits to watchmen, but that's been taken down. is it elsewhere, they were pretty awesome love to see em again.
Man, ya'll keep getting hung up on the soundtrack. It was fine.
And Johnny Greenwood needs to do every movie gonsarnit!
These are music sophisticates, Cristoval. Their pallette is far advanced from ours and as such it was the equivalent of master food tasters having to endure a double cheeseburger. It is beneath them. Our musical taste buds have not developed as their's have so we found the musical choices to be satisfactory.
That's my theory anyway because if I had not read these forums before going in I would have loved the soundtrack and not even questioned it.
I love "The Sounds of Silence" but it was really way too upbeat for the funeral and now I'm going to associate it with the funeral of the coolest character in Watchmen.

apparently the Directors Cut will be released in July if the movie does well

Oh no, how terrible! Actually I can see how some people wouldn't like this but personally I would love it If I can only associate those songs with Watchmen now.
Just like how when you hear "Stuck in the Middle With You" you can't help but picture a man getting his ear cut off.

I found I loved it more knowing beforehand. I went in expecting to be pulled out of the movie by the music and sex scene but nope, was pleasantly surprised. And I don't even remember music being played over the funeral scene.

He wanted to be angry again, like he was with Spider-Man 3.
I was fearing that may happen with Watchmen, thankfully it was not the case.
Spiderman 3 was however the best movie going time I ever had, because the entire audience turned on it about 30 minutes in and it became this giant MST3K experience. Good times!
I believe he was saying he was angry at all the people who hated spiderman 3

Where did Veidt have the giant psychic squid stored before he dropped it on New York? Its not exactly something that you can keep secret.
It was on the island where he had all the writers and artists.
