World of Goo! - Where OCD isn't a disorder, it's FUN!

After searching through the GandT forums, I was surprised and saddened to see there was no World of Goo thread. And with the Steam weekend sale there will hopefully be many more students majoring in Goology.

So without further aGOO...ok sorry, I'll stop.

wog-title.jpg

What can I play it on?
PC, Mac, or Wii Ware.
Also Linux according to Antithesis.

Any differences betwen them?
PC has user made levels, mods, etc. Wii version has a co-op/multiplayer mode.

Is it awesome?
Yes. In fact...
World+of+Goo+3.jpg

How much is it?
19.99 on Steam

There's also a user made level editor and some more levels and mods:
http://goofans.com

More user made levels at 2DBoy forums:
http://2dboy.com/forum

2DBoy's bog:
http://2dboy.com

And finally, Don't forget to download the free World of Goo soundtrack! The music is awesome:
http://kylegabler.com/WorldOfGooSoundtrack

And one last Goo...

Ernie, you fallin' in love with the wall or somethin'?
No, I had an accident.
You had an accident? What's that mea-....GOO!

I'm really glad to hear there are user made levels and mods, etc. I love puzzles like this I can pick up and put down in less than 5 minutes.

And I'm going to go for all the OCD scores.

This will take me so long.

Also, the Linux version has been released and is available if you purchase it from the 2dboy website. There are three formats, .tar.gz and two others that I can't remember.

And now I shall ride away on my Red Carpet Extend-O-Matic!

When the game starts, press Alt-Enter. I think it defaults to 800x600 (and I can't find a way to change it), but it works perfectly.

Specifically, it's the config.txt XML file in Properties folder in the game install (for Steam, this would be [steam]/steamapps/common/world of goo). Disregard the high-resolution sign painter's friendly warning.

Ha, I realized I didn't read the sign for the Tower of Goo stage in ch.1: "Some of them felt they had done something like this a long time ago... but things were more experimental back then." For reference if you don't already know, it's referring to this. I thought it was cute.
